buy or "borrow" an IBM (Lenova R61) laptop charger.
We will be in hotels so I will check the Lost and Found to borrow one, but if no luck there, are there any places that might have that type of charger to buy? Or is anyone familiar enough with these types of IBM to know if another type of charger would work?

Hotel concierges usually have an array of chargers on hand. Otherwise, there are office supply shops in the Loop -- Office Depot is on State at Madison (and Orleans and Grand, closer to N Michigan Ave), Staples is at Washington & Wabash. There's also Radio Shack.

There's a Fry's store (www.frys.com) near Lombard IL [I call it, 'the candy store'], they have a ton of stuff. Also, Best Buy (www.bestbuy.com) would probably have a universal charger for you. I am pretty certain that there's a Best Buy near you.
