Early Flight-When Need Arrive

I have a 6:05AM flight on United on a Sunday with carry on only. How late can I arrive at O'Hare do you think.

Also, does anyone have recent experience staying at the Days Inn/O'Hare South located at about North Ave. and Manhein. Thanks.

If you've checked in online, you could probably arrive at 5:30 and be OK.
(by "arrive" I mean the moment you step into the terminal...obviously if you have to return a rental, add more time)

If you haven't checked in online, 5:15 ought to do it. I'm sure it's possible to cut it closer in both cases. The real question mark is TSA...might be a lightly staffed shift...but allowing 15 minutes to clear security is probably a safe bet.

5:30 sounds a little late - not knowing which gate you'll leave from. The hike from the front door to C9999 is a fer piece (OK so it only seems like 9999 gates). 5:15 is a reasonable compromise.

I wouldn't expect much from the Day's Inn, it is in a pretty rough location. There is a great "marital aids" shop just down the street if you need some entertainment.

Just to double check, this is domestic, right? It shouldn't matter, but I always give myself some extra time for internati onal -- who knows what they have to do for passpor t stamps or whatever. If you're domestic, not-che cking bags, and have everything in order, arriving at 5:30 should be okay, but it'll be tight if you 're far. Make it 5:15 and you can grab a cup of c offee, I'd say, to be on the safe side.

...and I'm not really sure why or how my font chan ged, sorry if that throws people

I'd aim to get there around 5:15 AM - should be pretty quiet. You'll have enough buffer time to print your boarding pass from the kiosk and deal with any security delays.

Check your gate before you leave the house - if you are leaving from an F gate, go directly to terminal 2 and clear security there. United has an unmanned kiosk bank along the checkin desks there if you need a boarding pass.

Assuming domestic, I would also arrive at 5:15am. This allows for security, last-minute munchies, walking time to the farthest gates and also the fact that GA might close the door early.
