Green Market
Any other Green Market fans out there?
Went this morning and scored amazing fresh goodies including French Radishes (delish with Champagne, I kid you not) and these little purple carrots that I'm about to saute in a little olive oil. Bought a couple steaks, and some tiny potatoes that will be lightly fried with some purple bulb onions.
I recommend the market heartily, its in the south end of Lincoln Park just north of LaSalle, right at the Lincoln Ave. stop on the 22/36 buses, the 151 is also close. Saturdays from early until about 1:00 and one other day (Thursday?)
Only problem is when your wallet in a lot lighter when you leave - all the $2 $3 and $5 transactions really add up!

...and unlike the downtown markets, this one's not right next to any ATMs. I also like the fall/winter markets that Green City Market does -- they've had them in the big-cat hall at the zoo and in the Nature Museum. So wonderful to get fresh produce right up until the snow.
