I'd pretty much agree with that. As much as I like Sonic, there's no way I'll be going near that location for at least a couple more weeks; I can't even imagine trying to get in there this past weekend. (Thankfully my upcoming travels will allow me the opportunity for Sonic elsewhere. :) )

Thety had stalls available and only 3 cars in line in the drive=through last weekend wen I went on a Sunday morning around 8 AM (mmmmMMMmmm.....toaster sandwiches.....), called today around 12:45 and there was a 20 minute wait. I'm thinking my next weekend when all teh kidies are in school and a lot of people have gotten their first (or pent up) Sonic fix out of their system it should be down to a reasonable wait time.

We decided that 20 minutes was still a long time to wait and want to BD's Mongolian BBQ in Bolingbrook instead...

Those places are pretty good, I was a sad panda when they closed the Vernon Hills store...

I have one of those near me. I thought it was very expensive for dinner, especially since I didn't realize that the salad bar was a $5 add-on.

Regarding Sonic... work has been taking me to Nashville and Phoenix a lot lately, so I'm actually a little (gasp) sick of Sonic right now. The 30-60 minute waits in Aurora are insane, even for a Sonic-sized chili cheese tots and diet cherry limeade.

What I am waiting for in Chicagoland is a Waffle House (I had breakfast at the I-17/Bell location in Phoenix this morning). Put one of those say at 53/55 down on the south edge of Bolingbrook, and it would be a zoo.

Better yet, put it in Brookfield, and it will be a real zoo.

Stopped at Sonic (Aurora) on Friday morning. The breakfast burrito was acceptable. I had fresh sumatra brewed at home. There was no wait for a stall.

Q: Why can't I reach the car hop call button without exiting my high clearance vehicle's driver seat??

Ugh. I've been a few times, and I'm sure I'll go again when there aren't better options, but I don't see Waffle House as a place people would make pilgrimages to.

It sucks!

Took my family to sonic. They screwed up every order and everyone agreed the food sucked. We'll never be back. You only get one chance to make a good impression. It's now a running joke in our household. Expect it to close soon.

What do you have, a Unimog? I can reach it from my Excursion.

Stopped at Culver's in Kenosha for a butter burger on my way back from the Cubs games in Milwaukee yesterday. Can't imagine fast food any tastier than that!

Yeah. I can't wait for the Waffle House to finally make it to ORDland. I like their breakfasts--very filling for those days when stopping for lunch isn't possible.

Culvers rocks. I'm a huge fan of their pot roast sandwich. Finish it all off with a cup of custard...mmmmm....

The heart attack sandwhich, as I love to call it??? NOTHING BETTER! There's a reason everyone in Culver's looks like they've eaten too much Culvers :p

A few years ago after the Latinpass mileage run fun I was using up some miles to fly down to Central America so I had driven up to ORD to catch my flight. As the timing on the Taca flights were somewhat ungodly I was left in the wee hours of the night driving around ORD looking for a Waffle House. Well, I didn't find one (obviously), but I did end up somewhere just southeast of ORD, I believe in the Franklin Park area at some very greasy spoon that was a more than decent substitute. Interesting area to say the least.

I take mine scattered and smothered btw.
