Hyatt McCormick from MDW

Is it easy to get to Hyatt Mccormick place by public transportation
from MDW?

Or would it be easier to take a cab?

Any idea what a cab might cost?

Thanks in advance

Take the orange line to Roosevelt, transfer to the redline and go south (towards 95th) to Cermak-Chinatown.

Said stop had a major accident this weekend so the main entrance is closed but it's still operating.

You can either walk east on Cermak (5 or 6 blocks), or grab the bus.

Cab is probably $30-$40? I never goto Midway so couldn't say for certain. You could also grab a cab at the cermak train station and it'd be like 7-8 bucks with tip for the short ride.

Actually, the cab from MDW to the hotel would probably be about 1/2 that much and assuming good traffic, no more than 20 minutes. It is less than a 10 mile trip, most of it on the expressway.
