Lisle Restaurant Suggestions?

Have a client meeting this afternoon and then I'm taking them to dinner. Any suggestions?

Best I could find is Blu Coral or Suparossa (sp?)...but both look a little cheeseball. I know of some better places a little further east, but I don't want to stray too far from their office which is basically at Rt. 53 & Maple.

I'd ask the "client" what they had a taste for.

My preference...your preference...irrelevant.

understand the point but don't necessarily agree. I'm paying, many consumers suck when it comes to picking food, I suggest something outside their normal routine, normally they enjoy and we've "found a new spot", some even keep trying new things^, if not oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained.

I know this is too late, but for next time or others, Chinn's 34th Street has pretty good fish. I suggest you stick to the simple grilled stuff. On Ogden west of 53. Chef Paul across the street serves German food.

So you're the host...a good host puts his guests needs/wants ahead of his own.

OP has no acumen in meat or fish. Maybe the client likes meat and fish. Should the OP dictate what the client eats because he's paying the tab?

dictate is far too strong a term. Fortunately I communicate with my clients so suggestions/feedback are welcomed on both sides, no dictating going on.

We wound up going to Stillwater in nearby Downers Grove. On a scale of 10, I'd give it a 7. Especially liked the baked brie.

(I figured I'd ease up on my tyrannical ways and allow my guests to choose from such obscene items as steaks, seafood, chicken, pasta, etc.)
