i saw this post and i was in the cleveland area over new years and the Renaissance Cleveland offered this amazing package. i highly recommend it for anyone in the area next new years. its a 5 course meal for 2 (we could hardly finish), a night's stay, and a breakfast buffet in the morning. the hotel is also located right in the heart of the city!

sans souci's food is to die for! check it out:

I thought I would miss dining out in NYC, but Cleveland has some really great restaurants and the dining scene is very, very impressive. Love Lola, Mallorca, Fire-food & Drink, Sergios, San Souci, One Walnut, Table 45, Vivo. There are so many to chose from and reasonably priced. There is something for everyone, from high end fine dining to casual. I wish there were more restaurants on the list and that the list included the near downtown neighborhoods as well.

Lately Ive been checking out the restaurants in AsiaTownI havent been disappointed yet!

Don't Forget Metropolitan, Blue Point, Cleveland Chop House and Johnny Q's

Try (Tremont)

Lago---Italian Lobster Ravioli is to die for.
Parralax---Sushi
Farenheit--great happy hour (kobe beef hot dog $5 with bacon, pickled onions and cucumbers and tomatoes) and excellent pizzas
Lolita--Micheal Symon's original space

And for old fashioned Eastern European (Stuffed peppers, Peirogis, potato pancakes) try Solkolowski's University Inn. They serve the food Cafeteria style.

And you should really try Phnom Phen over in Ohio City right next to the West side Market, Excellent Thai/Cambodian food.

I have a very long list, let me know what you are looking for and I have a place.

Don't get me started on where to find the ice cream :-)

Ohio City is packed, especially on weekends when I make my Westside Market runs. I LOVE THAT PLACE

I've been to Metropolitan, Blue Point, Cleveland Chop House, Johnny Q's
Lago, Farenheit and Lolita, multiple times. I haven't had a bad meal yet.

Ask around, but you should give Sokolowski's a try.

I dont remember the name of the stand at the market but they do apple cured meats.

They have thick cut apple cured peppered bacon to die for. I then use the bacon grease to make potato pancakes.

I then visit my cardiologist :-)

Don't give me any ideas. Its bad enough I ride the train back to the east side with 6 bags of groceries. I love buying by the ton!

Your cardiologist?! LOL I work in Univ. Circle on occasion, and I feel like I should have an extended stay at the Cleve. Clinic after I've eaten a sandwich at Slyman's!

A pound of bacon does weigh a pound....but is very dense, it does not take up much room in the grocery bag.

I have the luxury of living within a short bike ride or a really long walk to the market.

I do walk to most of the tremont hot spots.

I love Slymans! And the other Jewish Delis (Jacks, Corky and Lennys). I can't imagine what it would be like looking for a sandwich on the west side!
