I always found Leona's to be adequate, nothing more nothing less. I certainly wouldn't call it bad. Bad is reserved for Olive Garden. One thing I must say, when I lived on Racine, near Belmont, years ago. The pizza arrived HOT - burn your mouth hot. Not something you can say for most any other place that delivers. All that said, it is not a destination restaurant.
Based on your post, and your KMA26's, it sounds as if Leona's pizza may have some redeeming qualities. I've never had their pizza (I'm an east coast girl), so I can't judge it on that dish.

Nope - The Leona's in Hyde Park has no redeeming qualities, and hasn't for years. If you want good pizza in Hyde Park, eat in, take out, or delivered, get it from Pizza Capri. Friends don't let friends eat at the Hyde Park Leona's!

As to good pizza in Hyde Park, I'm still partial to the Medici, but of course I'm quite biased (I'm responsible for the building façade).
