Short layover CVG

I'm flying next week to Vegas - connecting from CLT through CVG. My layover in CVG is 45 minutes, which I didn't think much about when I booked the tickets. Now, however, I'm concerned I'll have trouble making that connection. Do you think it's worthwhile getting to CLT early to make a flight that leaves about an hour and a half before the one on which I'm booked?

I have seen aggressive connection times from Delta through CVG. In one case, it was one hour international to domestic (i.e. need to pass US immigration and customs, then back through security screening), the international incoming flight was frequently late, and a misconnection would have meant spending the night there. I did not choose that flight.

You may want to check if your first segment is frequently late, and how many more flights to your destination there are after your second segment in case of misconnection.

I agree with tjl - check your flight options in case of a mis-connect. In most cases though, 45 minutes should be plenty in CVG.
