Bag storage facilities in MSP

I'll be taking a sidetrip out of MSP for a week and would rather not lug around an extra suitcase. Anyone know of any facilities in MSP that would store my bag for a week? Couldn't find much of anything in an online search. Any help appreciated.

There are biometric (fingerprint) luggage lockers inside security at the skyway concourse checkpoint and at at the entrance to the F concourse (next to the mailboxes), however I believe the limit for storing things there is 48 hours. More info. on these lockers and the complete list of locations can be found here:

You could always check with the NWA baggage office on the baggage claim level. They may not be set up for voluntary luggage storage, though. I suppose you could just check the bag and not pick it up for a week and see if they still have it when you get back to MSP.

One other alternative might be to check with the MSP airport lost and found office. Perhaps you could work out a deal on something? For more info on the airport lost and found, read this:

Thanks for the feedback and links. I did run across the luggage lockers in MSP in an online search for luggage storage options at MSP, and yes, it looks like they clean out the lockers after 48 hours.

Another option that I will try pursuing is looking for a nearby hotel that will store my bag for a week. I plan to stay one night prior to my side trip and can fit in another night after the completion of my side trip at the same hotel property if necessary. Anyone with any ideas as to which of the airport hotels will/might keep a bag for a week under these conditions?

And, as course, as a last resort I can always lug the extra suitcase along with me on my side trip.

You list various levels of elite status in your profile. SPG doesn't really have any properties close to the airport, but Hilton and Intercontinental do. You could try the airport Hilton or Embassy Suites next door or the Holiday Inn Select just down the road. There's also a Crowne Plaza just across the river in Eagan. I'd try calling around and checking to see if you could verbally flash your elite status and turn it into some sort of deal with the hotel manager.

Thanks, this is exactly what I plan to do. Funny thing is I was just at the CP (the one in Bloomington and not Eagan) just last week, and if I had had my head on right, I could have checked at that time.
