Chicago Menupages!
I searched, but only found one thread where a link to this was buried somewhere in the discussion... .
For those who are frequently in NYC, you are probably aware of http://menupages.com, a website that shows menus and contact info for zillions of Manhattan restaurants by location and cuisine type.
For years, I have craved something similar in Chicago, and apparently menupages heard my prayer, for now there is http://chicago.menupages.com!!
It seems like it has been around for several months, but I just stumbled upon it last weekend. I am sooooooooooooooooooooo excited, I hope all of you are, too!!!
I give the site 10 thumbs up!! ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

very nice that one can see some menus^ but the site does not help one pick out a worthwhile restaurant, unless one considers the reviews in which case
Outback was reveiwed as having terrific food.
It is a nice site to assist in deciding where to go but in no way would I use it as a guide knowing nothing else about the restaurants.

Sweet Willie, do you not view the awesome blossom as terrific food?
J/K -- the NYC version is better, because it has been around for a long time, and I always found the reviews to be fairly informative.
I just moved to the West Loop, so it is helpful for knowing what is near to my new place that has decent vegetarian options at good prices. Actually, in general, I find this a helpful way of finding restaurants. My friend and I just found a cute tapas place off of the Mag Mile last night using this site.
More reviews would be helpful, but still giving the site 10 thumbs up!

Right next door is an excellent Mexican restaurant called De Cero. One of my favorite places to eat in Chicago! Plenty of veggie options too.

I know it's not near you ,but if you're up in Evanston sometime, you can eat at Blind Faith Cafe. It's a good (well, so I'm told by vegetarians) vegetarian place. It used to be an Idine place too, but I'm not sure if it currently participates.

If you're seeking a strictly vegetarian restaurant in the city, Chicago Diner is a solid choice. Check out their menu at their website!

You say you are looking for vegetarian options and just moved into the West Loop. I know the area very well and have a few suggestions. Have you tried Red Light on Randolph yet? They have a special vegetarian menu in addition to the regular lunch/dinner menus, so you may want to give it a try. I've always been very satisfied with my meals there.
