Made as part of a Northwestern University documentary class, UPTOWN: PORTRAIT OF A PALACE tells the tale of the now run-down, once glorious, 1925 Uptown Theatre. Catch a public screening of the film at the Portage Theatre. June 8, 8:00 p.m. $8 in advance, $10 at the door, proceeds benefit the Portage Film Forum and Friends of the Uptown. 4050 N.
