7 Metra workers to replace a few bricks
If you ever wonder why Metra never has enough money to accomplish what it should, I report what must be a big part of it.
At about 1:15 pm today I was on the platform at Flossmoor and observed SEVEN no doubt overpaid laborers there "working" to replace a slightly crumbled wall.
Two guys were actually doing something to replace maybe three dozen bricks. The others were standing around doing absolutely nothing.
And of course to "support" these guys, there are probably 2 supervisors back in the office and a couple clerks/staff.
Wish I'd had my camera.
Next time Metra wants to increase fares or reduce service, remember this note.
