I didn't eat many of my Polish grandmother's foods when I was growing up, but I'd like my kids to try some during our Chicago trip.
The QwickGuide to Polish Chicago has
Czerwone Jabtuszko (two locations on Milwaukee)
and
Old Warsaw on Harlem Ave

The Red Apple used to be far superior Old Warsaw. I have not eaten at Red Apple in about 5 years, whereas I visist Old Warsaw more frequently with a buddy near there. IMO, they still dont match up to my "bushas" cooking.
