Question About Hotel Shuttles at ORD...
I'll be in Chicago (ORD) this weekend. I'm staying at a hotel right near the airport (Sheraton Gateway) and will be heading downtown on Sat and Sunday. I am not renting a car, and I would not like to spend $50+ on a cab going from downtown to o'hare each night. My question is, when I go back to the hotel each night and take the Blue Line all the way back to the airport, should I just take their courtesy shuttle back to the hotel? It appears to be the closest stop on the Blue Line. So I just exit at O'Hare and get on the shuttle to my Hotel. It sounds kind of odd but I think it's the best option I have.
Any timely help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
F.

You can do it, but be aware the hotel shuttles at ORD don't run super frequently late at night, and even at bizarre hours they are subject to freakish traffic delays around the airport.
I wouldn't really recommend staying at an ORD-area hotel if your main goal is to hang out downtown and enjoy your stay. Plenty of reasonably priced in-town hotels you can Priceline. JMHO.

Ok thanks. I would have preferred staying in-town, but this was a very last-minute trip. I got a great deal on this via hotwire so it isn't too bad. I'm going to see a music festival so I won't be doing much sight-seeing and whatnot.
