Dog Beach Bash
It's a hot one out there. You and your four-legged roommates can cool off at the BOW-WOW BEACH BASH, an event to support Chicago Animal Care and Control. Scarf down dog and human snacks, including the world's largest dog cake, try for raffle prizes or find your next pet to adopt. Micro-chipping for dogs will be available for $15. As a non dog owner, if I am in this area in the summer, I sometime pick up lunch and go over to the rocks north of this beach and watch the owners and their dogs have fun in the water while eating my lunch. Very entertaining - especially the puppies who are experiencing this for the first time.
