CARNAVAL 2005 fundraiser
Stilt walkers, body painting and a mini-car demolition. What else would you expect from a re-creation of a Brazilian street festival? CARNAVAL 2005 is arts organization Collaboraction's annual fundraiser, with Brazilian Guitarist Paulinho Garcia and DJ Julio Bishop at the Congress Theatre. Feb. 19, 2005 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. for Samba Hour, 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. for Carnaval. Advance tickets for Carnaval are $20; tickets for both Samba Hour and Carnaval are $45; Carnaval-only tickets at the door are $25, cocktails included, of course. 2135 N.
