Buffalo Wings
SweetWillie's recent St. Louis thread got me thinking about wings (Culpepper's in St. Louis has the best I've ever had). I thought there was a Chicago Buffalo wing thread. If so, I couldn't find it. I had occasion to try Buffalo Wild Wings in the sticks recently. They were pretty good, but not great. I'm wondering what is the favorite of folks here. My favorite is Yak-zies.

Buffalo Wild Wings is ok on Tuesdays when they are only 30 cents/wing...
I used to like Buffalo Joe's in Evanston, but I haven't been there in years so I don't know if they've maintained their standards.

Without a lot of other places to go by for a comparison, I'd say Buffalo Joe's has held up quite well. We frequented it quite a bit during high school and college and it was always crowded and always good.

the place I speak of is Buffalo Joe's. There are two more locations, one on Clark in Evanston and the other is near NorthWestern U.
I wanted to hate this place, typical neon colored signs advertising specials, Buffalo Joe's even looks very franchised. But I was hungry and had not had any Q for awhile so the green neon colored sign advertising great rib tips caught my eye.
Rib tips were tender w/a nice amount of charring. Lots of sauce, but it is not a very sweet sauce. Served over Very good fries (for some reason a tough thing for Q joints to serve well). I brought back some for the guys at our worksite. All agreed it was some tasty Q.
While there is better in Chicago Metro area, Buffalo Joe's sure was a tasty meal.
Small ribtip meal is $5.29, large is $8.59 and serves three.
