Labor Day Parade

If you're the sort who'd rather be in a parade than on the sidelines, grab your baton and head to Lakeview for the 41ST ANNUAL LABOR DAY PARADE. Organized by the Wellington Oakdale Old Glory Marching Society, the parade is open to everyone, is less than a mile long, and has no political agenda. Comfortable walking shoes recommended, flags and face paint optional. The parade starts at 11:00 a.m. Sept. 6. at Pine Grove and Wellington Avenues, ends at the front lawn of St. Joseph Hospital, 2900 N. Lake Shore Drive, with a performance by the Jesse White Tumblers.
