City of Chicago, Wacker Drive to Reopen
Fianally!!!!! Wacker Drive is to reopen on November 26, 2002. For those of us who used it, I’m really looking forward to seeing if the changes were worth it.
To quote from the 11.11.02 edition of the Chicago Tribune’s paper Red Eye, an article that described the “Wacker Drive is Done 5K Run”
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">A good number of the runners said they were disappointed by Wacker’s spiffy new look. They considered it too bright, too clean, too new. It’s just not the same old Wacker anymore. </font>
