Left item on plane at ORD

A friend left his phone on a plane after landing at ORD. He flew IcelandAir. They tell him to contact ORD, ORD is saying contact airline. Anyone know an official lost and found number at ORD? Or is the airline responsible for items on the plane?

If he left it on the plane, he needs to contact FI. More than likely, the aircraft only gets a cursory cleaning at ORD and the phone is sitting back at KEF or it's still where the friend left it. Or the guy next to him took it and it's in the wind.

Calling is a bad idea. It's not as though a phone agent can step into a back room to look. Use the email address FI provides on its website:

[email protected].

Send me a PM with the name, cell number and email of the person who lost the phone. I personally know the FI station manger here in Chicago and I'll pass it along. Hopefully a cleaner found it, but as OFTEN1 posted, also use proper channels.

Thanks! Turned out he left it in Iceland! He thought his kids had it on the plane.
