Since no one responded I will provide my own Uber DSM review from last week's trip.
Used Uber 8 times. 4 different drivers. I quizzed my first driver about the number of Uber drivers in DSM to learn if I would have any trouble getting rides from non-downtown locations. He offered to be "in the vicinity" for the times I needed rides. So my first 5 rides were with one driver.
Never waited more than 5 minutes for a ride. All drivers were great as were their vehicles (no surprise there, Uber runs a tight ship).
Was a bit concerned that getting to the airport on Friday morning might be a problem since I was leaving my hotel at 4:45 AM, but there was a car within 5 minutes.

@captiveguru, I could have sworn I replied to your original message...
I see your uber experience in DSM was good. My experiences with Uber have been similar to yours. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. The trip from downtown to the airport is always fast and friendly, and best of all costs less than a cab that might take 30 minutes to show up.
