Things to do and restaurants to go in Cincinnati, OH

Booked a two night stay in Hilton Cincinnati and am wondering what to do there and where to eat. Thanks

give us some idea of if you are willing to travel to eat or want walking distance.

Also what types of cuisine do you prefer? (are you Olive Garden person or independent local joint type of eater?)

Rare trip to Cincinnati with anticipated opportunity to "do stuff". (Essentially, working midnight to 10:00AM, local time.)
Eat: Strict vegetarian, but otherwise open to anything budget- to mid-priced. Good coffee sought.
Walking and Outdoors: Second week of October, hoping for opportunities to walk starting at "downtown"/central location. Supplement with public transport. Can't drive/no car. Enjoy walking through life, e.g., where others are commuting, working, recreating, etc.
Live Music also sought, anything but pop or opera.

No shopping, no craft beer, but feel free to record here for future travelers.

Thanks.

I suggest Nada, a nicer (mid-priced) Mexican restaurant in the heart of downtown.
Deeper Roots is a local roaster with a spot in the Over the Rhine district, across from Findlay Market.
Graeter's Ice Cream is a must (depending, of course, on your definition of "strict vegetarian.")

Thanks, mizzou65201! Nada worked well for me foodwise, for location near hotel and work, and in conjunction with Blink. Ice cream is outside my diet, but Graeters OTR was worth dropping by to see a local phenomenon. I found lots of other fun things to do. I don't spend all that much time in the United States, but I hope to find my way into another trip soon.

There are some modern art museums, including the 21C hotel where you're welcome to look at the art in public spaces on the street level. There's also somewhat of a historic area downtown, with a couple interesting buildings, plus a few interesting neighborhoods, including a university district and the area on the hill going up from the river. IIRC there's a farmers market, although of course obviously not in the winter.

A major attraction seems to be a history museum focusing on the Underground Railroad.

Across the river in Kentucky, there's a bourbon distillery not too far from the airport......and you're pretty close to horse country too.
