Question Security circus spreads to CTA

One random station per day. 1 in 10 checked at that station. All for show

Realized this is already being discussed in the travel security thread. Probably better to post there.

You can't see it, but I'm rolling my eyes. So let's see, a person who wants to detonate explosives on the CTA simply has to send a scout into the station beforehand to determine whether they're doing random bag checks at that station. They are? Fine, move to another station. They aren't? Great, I'll carry on my explosives right here.

Given the recent NYC hatchet attack, I wonder what police will do when they go to do a bag check on a construction worker carrying a box of tools, including hammers.

Or, if you're a suicide bomber, just detonate the thing then and there and take out a couple cops with you!

You will be denied entry if you refuse, and will be arrested if you try to enter anyway -- does that include trying to enter at another station after being turned away?
