Wrigley Rooftop

I'm going to a Cubs game in Aug and got in on the SPG suite deal. Since I will be in town I thought I would try the rooftop also.

I have looked at all of the rooftops and they all seem to be about the same with subtle differnces.

Are there any to avoid? I will be by myself so does that matter? There are lots of groupons so should I just pick one of those ($89 is not bad for an all inclusinve experience)?

Yes I know, one game at a rooftop and one in a suite is not the wrigley experience but it is what it is.

The Cubs are terrible this year, and attendence is dismal. I would buy a ticket the day of the game, likely for under face value. I think you will have a far better experience as a solo inside the park, rather than on a rooftop.

Both teams are terrible this year, unfortunately.

I'm not a Cubs fan, so I don't go to many games (only when friends invite me) and I have never been to a rooftop. However, Amazon Local had a $75 rooftop deal that is probably expiring soon if you have your mind set on the rooftops.

Personally, I think the park itself isn't very good. It's gotten to be very overrated over time.

One of those sentences that can reliably be written whenever you like.

Along with that eternal newspaper headline "Hopes for Middle East peace fade."

Everyone should experience the Wrigley Field bleachers at least once.

Attendance is definitely down at Wrigley Field, but an average of 33,000 isn't really dismal, despite what the Tribune and Sun-Times like to pretend. Dismal is what the White Sox draw - over 10,000 fewer per game.

If you can get a rooftop deal for $75, I'd grab it, but you can get tickets in the ballpark for many dates for less than the original face value on Cubs.com (with dynamic pricing) or Stub Hub.
