Implementation of Automated Border Crossing
Does anyone know whether any of these new automatic border gates are in place yet at T5?
I'm not speaking of global entry, rather a new, no registration required system mentioned in the below link. It says that they expect 32 kiosks in place by 1st July but I'm hopeful that there may at least be some in place earlier. Does anyone know about this?

I did read another thread where someone said it was possible they'd be opened last Saturday, and so I am slightly optimistic.

Jeff,
I just sent you a PM about it.
However, to anyone else reading. Target date for July 1st is the soft opening will full opening planned for the 8th. ( Press ops and such on that date since VIP schedules for photo op couldn't be planned sooner)
I'm going to run down and snap a picture to give you guys an idea where they'll be located since some of then machines have been installed.

In our family of four, three have American passports whereas on (me) has a German passport. In the past, we were usually allowed to stay together as a family and get into the Amercan line. Can the new machines also process German passports or will we have to split up the next time?

I know there's a planned upgrade to add Canadian passport holders next and finally long term to have them available for any passport holder.
