London - Indianapolis

Hi

I need to fly from London to Indianapolis for a few days in mid April 2013. I'm currently seeing prices of about $1900 r/t. As I usually fly London - NYC for about $900 r/t, this seem expensive to me.

Does anyone ever do this route regularly? Am I likely to see prices fall significantly between now and April?

Thanks for your help

Just off the top of my head, might the dates you're plugging in coincide with school break period? Prices tend to jump rather substantially then.

I just plugged random dates into the US site for Expedia (4/12-4/21, I think) and got r/t fares from LON at about $1100.

Seems extremely high to me but I am guessing no Saturday night stay? If early April it could be spring break causing them to hold fares higher as well. I cant think of anything else going on here in Indy during that time that would cause heavy demand. LHR-IND is not as competitive as LHR-NYC so you will see higher fares even though it really is not that much further in distance.

I would wait. It has to go lower and cant get much higher.

Thanks very much for your help -- really appreciate it.

Yes, no Saturday night stay. Does that typically affect airline prices?

Yep, that is business traveler premium.
