Programs: Honestly, I've been out of the travel game so long that I'm not even sure. Maybe Marriott Gold?

Anyone played golf here? Stayed here? I've got a reservation and tee time upcoming and wonder if it's worth the money. They encouraged me to get to the lodge in time for dinner, but I'm not sure I can make it before the kitchen closes. Should I make the effort?

I'll provide my own review from my stay/play last week. Accommodations are very nice. I think they ought to work on their logistical management, though. My dad and I arrived around 8:30 pm and, without anyone at the caddy barn to give directions, figuring out where to go to check in/drop off luggage/golf bags is difficult. They ought to send out better information with their confirmation email. The parking lot is about 200 yards away from the clubhouse/restaurant/lodging. There's no driveway accessible by car (only golf cart, I suppose) so you have to haul your luggage across that distance. Not terrible if the weather is okay, but I'd be really irritated if it was raining. We didn't see any evidence of a golf cart/shuttle. I suggest they put a phone down at the parking lot so you can call someone in the clubhouse to let them know you've arrived (if it's "after hours" when the caddy barn isn't staffed).
Food and accommodations were terrific. Would definitely be on my list of places to go for a "buddy trip". The new cottages will only enhance that option. The course was terrific, but keep in mind that it's walking only and even pull carts are not allowed. The caddy program at Erin Hills is great, and our looper really helped with our round and he had a great personality. The walks between green and tee can be very long at times, and it's pretty important to play the right set of tee boxes for one's ability, as forced carries can be a factor and if you play too much yardage for your game, you'll never reach the fairway with your tee shot in many cases.
Good times all around, and I would say "yes, it is worth the price". Not the kind of place to play every weekend, but definitely a once-a-year destination, especially as they work out the kinks with their lodging logistics.
