Maybe it's just me, but all the baggage area needs IMHO is a coat of paint, new carpeting or tile and a deep cleaning. Everything else seems to work fine. Save the $30-Million.

I have heard in the next few week we will start to see activity for this project starting up.

TSA Pre✓™

According to @MitchellAirport, TSA Pre✓™ will be coming to MKE. ^

^ indeed!

I had hoped that this might happen since there is a Global Entry enrollment center in MKE. This is excellent.

I wonder about implementation since the PreCheck airlines are scattered across all 3 terminals. Will they put it at each check point?

I have to believe Concourse D would be the logical starting point--there's more room there, and more Pre pax between DL and US.

In other news...I had sort of lost track of how quickly the FL wind-down was taking place. As best as I can tell, the only daily nonstops on FL as of 07Jan will be to ATL and DCA, plus the Saturday flight to CUN. TPA goes WN-only next week, RSW goes on 02Nov, and MCO & MSY go on 07Jan.

Nearly 3 years after the acquisition... "quickly"

I am thrilled for the PreCheck though. I might actually go through the process of getting this. I should get GE before the end of the year, UA will still comp it for me since I'm technically still a plat.

I love pre-check. Use it in TPA, LAS, BNA. D is a natural. E, is probably not worth the effort.

I'd love to have precheck in E, but I agree that its hardly needed.

I liked the WTMD lane on the far left in C, but since United moved, I'm stuck with the NoS at E. That said, I've never had more than 5 people in front of me in the line there, so while I'd love to have precheck, I don't think its needed at checkpoint E.

TSA press release:

http://www.tsa.gov/press/releases/20...ional-airports

From MKE:

TSA PreCheck is expected to be in operation at MKE by the end of 2013. Four airlines serving MKE are currently enrolled in the program including; American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and US Airways. Southwest Airlines, MKE’s largest carrier, is expected to join the program in the future

Pretty much means we will have pre-check on every concourse.

That would be great. One of the TSOs didn't know when asked, but he said that there is a dedicated line already on E. there is one on C also. I can't remember the layout on D, but it seems feasible, since that concourse has the most real estate.

Seems odd to put it in for all 3, but if so, that would be excellent.

BTW, MKE is the only place I've ever heard the TSA say "Please remove any cheese or sausages from your carry-on."

Haha. To be fair, I believe both are sold within the airport. Cheese curds (and foam cheeseheads) are for sure.

That said, why would cheese and/or sausage have to be removed? It's not a liquid or a large electronic....

When I asked they both show up as solid dense blocks of "stuff' or tubular dense blocks of "stuff".
