Duluth Coldness 01/2010
Here's what got me: ITS TOO COLD TO SNOW!
http://www.northlandsnewscenter.com/weather/forecast
A broad area of arctic high pressure will pin sub-zero readings across the region for the weekend. Morning lows on Saturday will bottom out in the teens and 20's below, with highs not likely to reach zero by Saturday afternoon. Sunday will be colder with morning lows hitting in the minus 30 range from Hibbing to the Canadian border. Sunday's highs will be slightly better, though, with readings struggling above zero by a hair by the later part of the day. It may be too cold to snow for most of us for the week ahead but exceptions will be found in the Snow Belt areas of the UP and far Northeastern Wisconsin. More lake effect snow there could add up to two inches by Sunday morning
It's about 4 degrees here at 46201 and that's plenty cold!

Welcome to the world of the upper midwest winters. I went to school in the midwest (UW-Oshkosh), and coming from NJ, I was very surprised to hear of the 'too cold to snow' story--- strange, but true!
