EAA Bound

I've flown Midwest every year from DFW to MKE for EAA. Getting ready to book my family's flt. Midwest has always been part of our great experience. I flew this route a couple of months ago on the E170 and it was great.
I'm glad I read all the DO's.

Hey keylir! Welcome to Flyertalk!

I love the E170 too. If you have to fly coach it is a much more comfortable ride than 737 or 717 coach seats. The Do was fantastic.

Hope you enjoy Oshkosh.

If you time your arrival in MKE right you should see the A380, it is clearing customs here and overnighting on that Monday(don't quote me on this day) before EAA before heading up to OSH.

Can you make use of the EAA promo code CMZ1674?

Hope you enjoy the show, and the weather cooperates this year.

Wow, the A380 in MKE. That will be quite the sight...and I thought it was a big deal when a British Airways or United 747 would divert to MKE

I landed my own plane (a tiny pack of gum with wings on it) at OSH a week or two ago and thought, "Wow, this is the same runway the A380 will take when it comes here." Will be a great sight to see in both Milwaukee and Oshkosh. Think about how many people would like to see that craft, but maybe never will. And we'll get it at two different spots right in our own backyard.

EAA trip

I was able to book with a discount from this board, thank-you, and get discounted EAA passes from the Midwest website. It was a good trip. The E170 wasn't as nice as the 717 in my son's opinion, but for me it was fine. The onboard treatment was slightly not as good as I remembered, but still better then what I've experienced on other aircraft. We do love the cookies. Once we landed in DFW on the way back and went thru baggage claim, then went outside, my son was approached with "Fancy meeting you here". Our FA. Made him smile big-time. They chatted. She could have just ignored us, but that is the friendly we remembered, and they delivered.

As for EAA, it was a let down due to the lack of military presence. I guess just the sign of the current times. We've seen the crowds of past go crazy with pride, and this year, it was dull.
