Security situation in Riyadh

Hey,

What's the security situation in Riyadh currently? Reading recommendations from foreign affairs offices worldwide most of them seem to say "don't go there". I may have to go in business later in May so what will the situation be? Is it possible to move around with taxis or should one make transportation arrangements beforehand? If so, what companies can be used? What hotels are recommended to say on?

You must be visiting a local company in order to get a visa, right? So have them provide a car and driver. That is the best thing to do. I like the Al Khozama which is a Rosewood property, but it's a big city and your location really matters. The center of the city is pretty well secured.
