CAI - Transit time
I am looking to book my flight from Madrid to Bengaluru (India) through Cairo. the economical option seem to be the following
MAD - CAI -> Iberia landing at 10.25 PM local time
CAI - Muscat (MCT) -> Oman airways at 1:00 AM from CAI enroute to BLR
I need to book 2 separate tickets for this journey. One in Iberia & other in Oman. i was wondering if someone can help me with the following information
1. how much time does it take for the immigration at CAI
2. Do luggage's get delivered faster in CAI? I have been to LHR many times and i can safely assume it will take atleast 45 mins to an hour after landing for the luggage's to arrive
3. Fortunately both IB & WY use Terminal 2 at CAI, so i need not go between terminals, but still do you think this itinerary is achievable, given that i need to recheck in my baggage, go through security etc?
Any experienced flyer through CAI could help me? this will be my first time in CAI & i will go with family consisting of 2 small children
