DXB COVID testing upon arrival

Has anyone flown into DXB and taken the mandatory on-arrival PCR COVID test? How long must one wait to receive the results? How must one reach his hotel while results are pending? Is it permissible to use the transit system? Thank you

I traveled late in May. The test is performed immediately after passport control but before luggage carousels. You get a sticker with a QR code, and are supposed to check it yourself the day after, and quarantine accordingly. Your airline takes your stay details upon check in, so I am assuming the authorities inform your hotel of the diagnosis. After the test you are out in the open and can use any mode of transport.

Same question, any data points on how long the turnaround time is? I've read it's usually within 24 hours but is it more 12 than 24?

Hi all,

Has anybody got recent experience with the mandatory second test on arrival if originating from a "safe" country (Germany) but transiting without entry through a "risk zone" (Qatar)?
Obviously they will direct all pax coming off a QR flight to the testing area but from my own understanding I shouldn't be obligated to take it given my travel originated in Germany?

Thanks a lot in advance!

I will be flying from France to Dubai via ADD on Ethiopian Airines.

Passengers from France do not require the test on arrival although pax from Ethiopia do.

Does anyone know if you still need to be tested on arrival if simply transiting airside via a country that has the testing on arrival requirement?

Thx

I have the same question...arriving from the USA via DOH. Will I be required to take a test on arrival? I have seen varying information on this, if anyone has any experience or a definitive answer, that would be very helpful.

Thanks!
