Dubai on Points

I am visiting Dubai in February. I have been several times and am between two hotels (on points) to stay. The Renaissance Downtown and La Ville Hotel in City Walk. Both are the same amount of points but I cannot decide which one to choose. Has anyone stayed at either or both that could lend some insider info?

Thanks.

La Ville was decent but it was more of a modern residential style decor rather than typical luxury. The rooms are generally smaller than the Ren. Location in the City Walk is excellent, but it leads to some noise as the hotel is not in a high-rise (highest floor is 5) and the roads nearby are busy. Breakfast was not very strong, in my opinion. I would return if on points, but otherwise, no.

Renaissance gets very good reviews everywhere and is brand new. Location is not as convenient as La Ville, as there is very little within reasonable walking distance. But since everyone has to get around in taxis or cars anyway, that's not a big minus. This would be my next hotel to try when I travel back to Dubai and need to stay in that part of town.
