Beirut during Ramadan

Found a bit on this subject and it seems other than being a bit quieter, it won't really have a major impact on visiting.

Was thinking I may split the visit with a few days before and during Ramadan. Thoughts? Would anyone suggest pushing up the trip to visit fully before Ramadan?

Mostly interested in the food/culture/nightlife with a few day trips. Would I have problems finding lunch during the day outside of the city?

Visiting during Ramadan is perfectly fine. Yes, you will find lunch all over the place (and you will not need to hide somewhere to eat) and yes, you will still be able to enjoy the beaches and nightlife.

Thanks BEYFlyer! Really looking forward to it.

OT: anyone know the same answer for Kish Island on the first day of Ramadan?
