Help? Is my connection time in DXB enough??

Hello everyone, this is my first post after browsing the forums for awhile so not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this...

I'm planning a trip with the wife to the Maldives in January from IAH. My wife and I will be flying separately since I will be working in Muscat, Oman at the time and will fly to DXB to meet her up and take the same flight to MLE. We will both have roughly 2 hours to make the connection to FlyDubai from Lufthansa and FlyDubai, respectively. My wife's itinerary is split into two separate bookings: one with Lufthansa, one with FlyDubai. Will she have to pick up her luggage on arrival at DXB and go through customs/immigration before she is allowed to checkin for her FlyDubai flight? The itineraries are listed below. Thanks so much for your help!

Wife's Itinerary
IAH FRA LH441 16-Jan-14 16:30 17-Jan-14 9:10
FRA DXB LH630 17-Jan-14 13:20 17-Jan-14 22:35
DXB MLE FD563 18-Jan-14 0:55 18-Jan-14 6:55

My Itinerary
MCT DXB FD48 17-Jan-14 21:40 17-Jan-14 22:40
DXB MLE FD563 18-Jan-14 0:55 18-Jan-14 6:55

Might be tricky.

All Flydubai flights are out of Terminal 2, i.e. all the way on the other side of the airport.

Apparently you can do an airside transfer though. Would be a longish ride though i.e. 15-20 minutes. http://www.dubaiairport.com/en/passe...portation.aspx
