Cairo VOA

Has anyone had any recent experience with visa on arrival at the Cairo airport. Is it still $15 like most websites seem to suggest? How long are the line ups?

It was in January. Bit chaotic, but yes.

I arrived in Cairo yesterday at 6:30 pm, and quickly got my VOA. Still USD 15. When you stand in line to go through immigration, the booth is to your left (get your VOA first, of course).

It looks like a bank or money change kiosk. Cash only.

Exclamation

Yeah and be sure [B]you [B] put the sticker into your passport yourself using just half a page- otherwise if you hand your sticker and passport to the officer, they will carelessly stick it in taking up an entire page!

Yes

Same drill. Fifteen dollars at the bank and you get a visa.

VOA is easy as can be. It will help if you have exact change handy. You don't want to be give a dirty/torn USD note as change and then have problems using it once in the country.
