Question Work Visa Egypt Question

I've done mostly domestic business travel but I have been to the UK and Hungary for work. Neither of these countries required that I get a visa so I'm kind of new to visa requirements. I'm traveling to Cairo a week from today for work and I was reading the visa requirements on the embassy's website. I believe US citizens can buy a visa at the airport (CAI) when the arrive but it says people traveling for work must obtain them in advance. I'm only staying for 8 days and 3 of them will honestly be for leisure. Should I tell the immigration agents that I'm there for leisure or should I say leisure and business? I think it's probably too late to obtain a work visa. My travel was only confirmed a couple days ago. Any thoughts?

Update to this...the immigration people at the airport didn't even ask any questions. I wouldn't do this again but it was fine.
