Do i need a ( transit ) visa for Dubai.

I have a have question if a need a visa for Dubai.
I will be staying for 2 nights in Dubai end of Jan.
To get a transit visa you have to use the airline or hotel i believe.
But I’m a Dutch citizen with a Dutch passport and i believe that Holland is one of the 30 visa exception country's.
So my question is do i need a transit visa in the first place as i can get a 30 day visa on arrival i believe.
I have a hotel reservation but do i need to do or show something at the immigration desk when i arrive at Dubai ? ( is it for free ? )
It is very difficult to get some good information about visa for Dubai so hopefully somebody can help me here.

Thanks for all info.

No you do not need a visa before you go. As an EU citizen, you will get a free "visa" in your passport at immigration in Dubai (have you been to Egypt lately, same thing). No, you most likely will not need to show any paperwork, but as with entering any foreign country by air, it is always best to have the paperwork handy. If you are going KLM I can give you some more information. Enjoy.

Make sure you do not have any israeli stamps in your passport. Dubai is not very fond of those.

Thanks for all the info. ^

I don't have a stamp from Israeli stamp in my passport so that is not a problem.
I will take my hotel and airline ( Emirates ) booking with me in case they ask for this.

In a dozen trips I've never been asked for my Hotel details, most that's ever been said to me is "visit", always had the details and onward tickets handy though just in case.

I agree. I go to DXB very very often and have benn to Tel Aviv also many times so ofcourse my passport carries the ISRAEL Visa. I have never had any problem in entering DXB. However IRAN is another story.
