Smile US to UA connect @ DCA

Hey all Happy Friday !! My wife is flying thru DCA enroute to ORD. She arrives into DCA on US at Gate 39 and departs DCA out of UA Gate 29. These gates are in different "piers" of Concourse C at DCA. Does anyone know if there is a shuttle bus between the piers in Concourse C at DCA without having to go back thru security ? I know that US has gates in both piers and I would think they have many connecting passengers changing piers. The connecting flights for my wife have only 1 hour 9 minutes between them. Your reply today, April 24 is most greatly appreciated.

I think US does have a shuttle.

But in any case DCA is very small, and lines are short, so an hour is plenty of time to walk out, reclear and go to new gate if necessary. Walk is probably five minutes.

Smile Thanks

Thanks for the Speedy reply.

I wasn't worried about the distance but more about the security time on a Friday afternoon. I told my wife to ask about the bus and if there is none to proceed to Gate 29.

Know anything about the probability of a VDB comp on sunday night (4/26) between ORD and DCA ?? I see a lot of red zeros on Seatcounter but I never know how to guage how oversold the flights truly are.

Have a Great Weekend !!!!!

the bus is run by US, so it maintains the schedule you would expect of US. there really are not that many transfers. maybe dca is not a real us hub. most of the shuttle traffic is for the multitude of gate switches that us has.

i do not recall where the shuttle terminus is on pier C, so ask a few us agents. then go to that gate and ask them when the next shuttle will leave.

If I recall correctly, the bus is near gate 38 (on the left-hand side of the terminal as you walk back towards security / exit).

i know this is way late, but sometimes i bet it's quicker to walk around to security again then take that bus.
