You should try Albannach if you're in London any time soon. Fantastic--but easy to spend a fortune.

The new Bourbon Steak in the Four Seasons has a great bar with a very nice single malt selection.

thanks. ^ what are prices like?

mandarin oriental gets kind of ridiculous. although most expensive only has 2.5X markup.

id be especially interested in comparing prices for macallan 25/30.

The Willard recently opened a scotch bar in a corner of their existing bar, the Round Robin. I haven't been but heard its supposed to be excellent.

thanks. reasonable prices. not much scotch though, unless the new scotch bar has its own menu.

The scotch bar is a separate "alcove" within the round robin bar. They supposedly have 100+ scotches. I would expect the prices to be similar to the round robin bar though.

this guy

http://www.winespecialist.com/ecart/...sp?cID=67&p=17

carries a lot of single malts by the bottle. i see he does not have the 25 yr, but does have a 30 yr Macallan

he lists 190 single malts, and seems to have most of them.

i do not visit this store regularly, but did when it was called Mayflower(20-30 years ago).
