Help with Hotel Hershey
I just tried to make reservations for Sept 19-21, and they are all booked up! I was a little surprised since we're more than 3 months out and that is the beginning of the off-season. My thought is maybe there is a big wedding (or two) that have blocks of rooms held. I am on the waiting list in case something opens up.
My questions are:
We really want to do those dates at that property - it's our wedding anniversary, and Hershey is a special place for us.

- Has anyone had experience with a reservation waiting list (here or at other properties), that might give me an idea of the likelihood of an opening?

No connections, and no idea why there aren't rooms available. However, Hershey Lodge does have rooms available. http://www.hersheylodge.com/index.php

thanks for the thought, kipper. i don't think we're interested in the Hershey Lodge for this trip, but i'll double check with the wife. it's a much different experience there than at the Hotel. plus we would be getting spa treatments and dining at the Hotel.

Follow up: I sent a nicely-worded letter to Hotel Hershey explaining that I am on the waiting list for those days, and appreciate in advance anything they could do. Well, yesterday I received a phonecall from the General Manager's assistant saying that they have been able to "move some things around" and are able to accommodate us for the nights we requested. ^ Great customer service HH! This is what makes you such a special property.
