bus to AC

Hi everybody,
I just wanted some opinions on this,

I am planning on going from NYC to Atlantic City to try my luck. haven't been there in a while. Originally was planning on Amtrak or NJ Transit, but since I'll be travelling this Monday the 18th a holiday the traffic should be light.

I can take the Academy bus or Greyhound lucky Streak fares, the cash back option from the hotels should be about the same and i think the bus fares are also equal.

make a long stru short; which bus company has better buses???

Thank in advance,
F.

Warning: "cash back" is a loosely used term...most casinos now are giving out gaming vouchers that only go into the machines.

Having said that, there's no real "better bus" to be had. What matters more is the company's schedule...all the buses can get a little sketchy, so my primary concern would be timing.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/104)

There are also the so-called "Asian line run buses" which leave from Manhattan's Chinatown and from Flushing, Queens. They traditionally have been about half the price of Greyhound/Academy, but I am not sure of the current pricing. I know that information about some of these buses can be found on the Tropicana's website, or just Google "Atlantic City Chinatown bus."

There are also similar buses to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. Here in Forest Hills, there is a daily run to Foxwoods. The last time I took it, a couple of years ago, the round trip was $12, and you got a free buffet and four $10 matchplay coupons. Good luck!

thanks

just about broke even, (a little short) thanks guys, I went with Greyhound, they seemed to have a better return schedule and was surprised by the new loking bus with great reclining seats. (the hound returing from AC to Philly looked aged, but with a new paint job) Next ime when I can leave from my house, I'll take a Chinaown bus from Flushing Main St. which I totally forgot about.
All in all a nice day getaway, got salt water taffy and a few minutes of a stroll on the boardwalk.
