Visiting Charlottesville, VA
I did a search and was surprises to find no threads on this topic. Anyway, my husband and I are planning a trip to Charlottesville for our first anniversary in early June 2008. We will be driving from Northern VA. We are looking to stay in a B&B for around $250 a night. We have already found a few that we really like and would welcome suggestions, but I am really looking for a wonderful restaurant for our anniversary dinner. We like most kinds of food, but especially steak and seafood. We are, of course, visting Monticello and UVA and hope to visit a few wineries, and would welcome any other ideas or tips on the activities we have already chosen. Thanks!

We've enjoyed dining at the Boar's Head Inn.
I've also been told that the restaurant at Keswick is excellent.
Charlottesville has a wide assortment of restaurants from which to choose. You're bound to find a number to your liking.
Happy anniversary!

Boar's Head is generally great, as is Keswick. If your budget allows, stay at Keswick.
For dining, check out Fleurie Restaurant if you like French food. Bistro Cassis would also be a good choice. The Ivy Inn is also a nice place.
Note that June 5-8 is Reunions weekend at the University, so hotels and restaurants are apt to be busy, if not full. Call well in advance to check on reservations.
