NYC-Philly - options on transit?

Hi - can anyone offer any alternatives for transit from nyc to philly besides these options:

-- amtrak from nyp-philadelphia (1.5 hr about $100RT)
-- chinatown bus (2 hr $25RT)
-- greyhound bus

Are there any other train options that might be less expensive than the $100 on amtrak? Is there a NJT/Septa combo?

Thanks!

There is a NJT/SEPTA alternative. With the septa service yoru have to pray that your trains are on time as you have to make a connection in Trenton and the trains do not always wait for each other.

When are you traveling. If you are traveling not on a sunday afternoon I would recommend the greyhound option. $20 rt, if purchased online. The tickets can also be used for any bus, so you are not married to the bus time on your ticket.

Agreed, take the Greyhound bus. Most trips are non-stop and take less time (and money) than the SEPTA/NJ Transit combo.

I've taken this a dozen or more times and have never missed the connection in Trenton.
