Buffalo to Niagara Falls

Buffalo to Niagara Falls
My soon to be bride and I will be flying into Buffalo and then go on to Niagara Falls for our honeymoon. I don't really want to rent a car. What kind of transportation would you suggest? I checked on a limo but at $125 US each way that's a bit much...Any one know what a taxi charges? Is the border crossing a hassle? We both have passports..

There are three trains a day on Amtrak from Buffalo (either suburban Depew station, or downtown Exchange Street station) to Niagara Falls, NY. One of these trains, the Maple Leaf, continues on to Toronto, making a station stop at Niagara Falls, ON as well. Are you staying on the American side or on the Canadian side?

i'm doing the journey in reverse later this month. the holiday inn niagara falls by-the-falls website specifically gives the taxi fare as CAD 50 one-way from the hotel to buffalo airport.

if u're on ur honeymoon, then it's almost certainly not worthwhile to mess about with the local airport bus, which costs about USD 2 (plus a small fee for the transfer ticket to niagara falls NY), but is not frequent.
while i haven't been to the falls before, my logic therefore suggests a normal airport taxi (not a limo) will cost USD 60 or less.
a quick internet search yields a company which does a prebooked "formal luxury sedan" from BUF airport to niagara falls ON (or vice versa) for CAD 75 plus 6% gst.
