Where's the beef .. and lamb

I know there are more than a few good steak houses ..but what I'm looking for is a restaurant/ steak house that serves both and excellent steak and lamb (prefer rack of). Budget no object, prefer in the district or very close suburbs.
Thanks for the help.

I love lamb too!

I'm not too familiar with places downtown or in the close in suburbs since I don't venture in there too often, but I've had lamb dishes at Clyde's in the past. Like all of their food it was delicious. Their menus change day to day and vary between restaurants though; right now the online menu for Gallery Place does not list lamb but the Georgetown one does. The 1789 restaurant on Clyde's website also seems to have lamb on their menu, but I've never been there.

Gadsby's Tavern (http://www.gadsbystavernrestaurant.com/) in Old Town Alexandria is another one to consider. That's all I can think of offhand.

I'd check out Sam & Harry's for a solid steak: 1200 19th St. NW

^^

Check out Washingtonian Magazine reviews, particularly the 100 best.

As mentioned above, the rack of lamb at 1789 Restaurant in Georgetown is their "signature dish". I've never been disappointed with it. And they have
complimentary valet parking.
