Potbelly in DCA

Does anyone know when the Potbelly is going to open in DCA? The website says early 2007, but I hoping someone might have a specific date. Thanks!

When I saw this thread, I became excited because I hoped it signaled Potbelly's finally opened.

747LWW, Potbelly's is a tasty and affordable sandwich chain. There are a few in greater Houston, perhaps some elsewhere in Texas. Check their web site for more locations. The one OP refers to will be in the United/American concourse of DCA. I hope Potbelly's will open up quickly to fill the edible food void left by CPK.

A small, but growing sandwich chain. They bake their own bread and toast their sandwiches. Food's not too bad, more flavorful than Subway, but still a bit on the bland side in terms of fast casual. A good, safe bet for a sandwich.

Are they similar to a Quiznos? Quiznos easily beats Subway for a quick light meal.

They are delicious and all over Chicago. I <3 Potbelly's. For me they beat Quizno's hands down.

Sort of. At Potbellys, you get 3/5 of the sandwich for 3/5 of the price. (Not sure if this is everywhere, but the few in the DC area I've been to, all the sandwiches are $3.99)

Hmm...so no one seems to know when it'll be open. Has anyone at least been to DCA recently and seen how close the place looks to being done?

I was at DCA last Wednesday at about 11am. There were still black curtains around the Potbelly's, but it looked like they were actually getting ready to serve lunch.

Potbelly is open!

I can confirm that Potbelly is now open. When I returned home on Friday 2/23, there was no black curtain, and was fully operational.

It was a welcome treat. On my trip back from the west coast, I only had a 30-minute layover in Denver, so I didn't have a chance to stop and eat there.

Potbelly is ok but they don't offer individual packets of dried hot red peppers like the Pizza place did. Hopefully Panda Express will have packets of hot sauce when they open. Fudruckers is an upgrade to the former McDonalds though.
