Question Long Island (ISP)

I am going to be there all next week, any good restaurants nearby?

I am staying close to the airport.

Thanks

Zagat's has a restaurant guide that focuses on Long Island. That may help more than I can.

Here are some suggestions

I have no idea what kind of cuisine you like so here is a scattered bunch for you.

In Stony Brook, there is the Three Village Inn which is lovely. http://www.threevillageinn.com/menu_Spring_Dinner.asp

Casual on the Great South Bay in Bayshore you have Nicky's Clam Bar. http://nickys.kpsearch.com/df/default.asp

For a cute English pub, try Canterbury Ales in Huntington. http://www.canterburyales.com/

In Farmingdale, I recommend the 56th Fighter. Good food and interesting historical pieces in aviation history. You see old fighter planes outside the dining room. http://www.restaurant.com/microsite....8958&rpid=1234

If you want to go to a "nearby" Hampton, there is always Westhampton Beach. Some Hamptons folks don't consider Westhampton to be a part of the Hamptons because it is located west of the canal but so what. Dune Road is just as beautiful without the long drive!! Pricy restaurants like Tierra Mar await you. http://www.tierramar.com/tierramar/seemenu.html

For something much more casual, go to Dockers. Just continue east on Dune Road. It's open on weekends according to their website. Verify first. http://www.dockerswaterside.com/home.htm

There was a place near Huntington Station called Panama Hatties. A couple years ago it was outstanding. Got a 3 star review from the Times. Havent been there for a few years but it was very good then. Probably the best in the area.
