If you want to go to a "nearby" Hampton, there is always Westhampton Beach. Some Hamptons folks don't consider Westhampton to be a part of the Hamptons because it is located west of the canal but so what. Dune Road is just as beautiful without the long drive!! There was a place near Huntington Station called Panama Hatties. A couple years ago it was outstanding. Got a 3 star review from the Times. Havent been there for a few years but it was very good then. Probably the best in the area.
